My Holiday Life
The last time I went to Kaohsiung was about two weeks ago. A lot of things have happened since then. I can’t wait to see my parents and tell them what I experienced at school!
Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station—what a familiar spot for those of us who study in other cities! I always feel heart-warmed when I arrive there, maybe because I can finally rest and return to the embrace of my family.

When my dad picked me up, he brings McDonald‘s dishes to me!
Every time I got home, my dad always bought McDonald to me, it almost became the tradition.
I spent the whole day relaxing at home, finally back in my own room and sleeping for hours.

On the second day of the holiday, I reunited with my high school friends, whom I hadn’t seen in six months. I missed them a lot, so I was really looking forward to this get-together. We first went out to buy some popcorn chicken and beer, then picked up a cake to celebrate one of our friends’ birthdays.

That night, we enjoyed late-night snacks while catching up on each other’s lives. Since starting university, we’ve all been busy with our own routines, and this change feels both new and unfamiliar.
I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic, realizing how much we’ve grown. On the third day of the holiday, I mostly stayed at home, enjoying the last moments with my family. In the evening, my dad even brought back some night market snacks—it was such a nostalgic treat!
Time goes by so fast; I’m still savoring the joy of just being back home. But now I’m heading back to school and have to face the stress of homework. It’s hard, but I’ll do my best to overcome it!
My Favorite Sitcom — Friends

It is a classic American TV series, and even now, after watching various sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory and The Good Place, Friends is still my favorite.
I watched Friends when I was a senior in high school, so it really kept me company during that time.
At first, I started watching this show just to practice my English listening skills, but the more I watched, the more I enjoyed it, so I kept going. Over time, I felt like the characters became my own group of friends. I really like their relationships—they’re funny and heartwarming.
Recently, Netflix announced that Friends is going to be removed again, which made me want to relive my high school memories. So, I decided to rewatch it. Seeing those familiar scenes again is anything but boring; instead, I’m finding even more funny moments than before. I guess that’s why a classic is a classic—the humor never gets old.

My favorite character is Rachel. In the first season, she’s just a rich girl and could even be called a “spoiled princess,” but we can see that she changes a lot. From a waitress to a manager at Ralph Lauren, she truly proves herself.
Her growth has encouraged me a lot, and I want to be like her—a person who overcomes adversity and earns the job they truly want.
What’s even more inspiring is that she originally comes from a privileged background and could live well without working. She must have faced many challenges to reach her goals.
